After completing high school, Summerella spent most of her summer online. In 2013, she launched her Vine account. However, she didn’t post many six-second videos until later that year. Within a span of two years, Summer Boissiere was a bustling star with millions of followers and billions of views across social media platforms. Ever since she created her YouTube account, she has posted several videos on challenges, makeup and style routine, cooking, her own singles, and other creative videos. There’s nothing that Summerella can’t excel at! In fact, her song 11 Something ranked 18th on iTunes and even went on to achieve the number 24 position on the US Billboard R&B music chart. Initially, she was hesitant about revealing her talent for music and songwriting, but once she did, there was no holding her back, and she pays all credit to her supporters. Her videos on YouTube have gathered millions of views and the channel has amassed 913K subscribers. Meanwhile, her Instagram page has gathered 4.3 million followers and her Twitter account has 452.6K followers.

Summer Boissiere is best described as humility at its peak; even though she has earned herself quite a name, she dislikes her supporters being called fans, rather, she prefers to call them fam– like a part of her family. She is confident and likes to make her videos funny and at the same time gets serious when it comes to singing. Thus, she balances her personality on social media. Needless to mention, she guides young and amateur YouTubers to ignore negative comments and believes it’s only when a person begins to prosper and do something more constructive with their lives, that they start accumulating negative reviews and opposition. Summerella emphasizes that in order to be a hit on social media, people shouldn’t put on a façade and must represent their true selves. She has also made waves on TikTok with her engaging content which has earned her over 2.2 million followers and 9.4 million likes on her account.

Summerella loves looking stylish and setting new trends and has a fancy for roses. At the same time, she is a foodie and loves indulging in various types of cuisines; she never compromises on food and is also a big music lover, which is evident from her vocal range. She loves her family and aims to make her mother proud, and is also equally fond of her sister. Summerella posted several pictures on Instagram when her sister conceived a baby girl and was anxiously awaiting her niece’s arrival.

Summerella was born on July 18, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia, and she is of African-American ancestry. She often speaks of her mother being her pillar. She grew up alongside two brothers and her elder sister, Paisli, who is a model. She didn’t intend on making a career in social media and used it as a platform to release her own singles, but as she gained popularity she went along with the flow and managed to make a name for herself. Summerella keeps most of her personal life away from the media and isn’t reported to be dating anyone at the moment. She stated in one of her videos that she is presently looking to consolidate her career in the music industry, which occupies most of her time.
