Born in America, ice dancer Diana Davis, the daughter of skating coach Eteri Tutberidze, was raised in Russia and was the Russian junior national bronze medal winner with her partner Gleb Smolkin. She developed partial hearing loss due to an incorrect dosage of antibiotics and never regained her full sense of hearing.
