Barbara Eden is an American actress known for playing Jeannie in the TV series I Dream of Jeannie. Over the years, Barbara Eden has made significant contributions to television for which she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was also honored with a Doctor of Laws degree by the University of West Los Angeles.

Barbara Bain is an American actress best known for playing Cinnamon Carter in the popular TV series Mission: Impossible, for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination and three Primetime Emmy Awards. For her contribution to the American film and TV industry, Barbara Bain was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 28, 2016. 

Actress Piper Laurie is best known for her role in the film The Hustler, for which she received an Academy Award nomination. In a career spanning seven decades, she has appeared in numerous award-winning films and TV shows. She is also a sculptor working in marble and clay. She is a recipient of  “The Spirit of Hope Award.”

Known for her roles in numerous German films like Des Teufels General, Heldinnen, and Hollywood cinemas like Four Girls in Town, Interlude and A Fistful of Dollars,, actress Marianne Koch was also successful television host, serving as a panelist in Was bin ich for many years. Also a qualified doctor, she served as a specialist for internal medicine in Munich.

Marjorie Jackson-Nelson is a former Australian athlete. She won two Olympic and seven Commonwealth Games Gold Medals. She was appointed the Governor of South Australia in 2001 and held this position until 2007. She was married to Olympic cyclist Peter Nelson who died in 1977. She has been inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.  

Emilie Benes Brzezinski is a Swiss American sculptor best known for her sculptures made out of wood. Her monumental work Lintel, which was made from cut cherry trees, is currently preserved in a sculpture park named Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey. Over the years, Emilie Benes has displayed her work at several art exhibitions, including the Florence Biennale.

A leading American scholar and educationist, Deborah Meier was the person behind the small-schools movement. Initially a kindergarten teacher, she campaigned for education for children from low-income families and also established the Central Park East school network, primarily focusing on New York’s East Harlem.

Mary D'Souza Sequeira was one of the first female athletes to be part of the Olympics. The Asian Games relay bronze medalist was also part of the first women’s field hockey team in India. She later joined the Indian Railways and coached young players too.

Claudia Andujar is a Swiss-born Brazilian activist and photographer. She has achieved popularity as a photojournalist and her work has been featured on various magazines such as Realidade, Fortune, Aperture, and Life. Claudia Andujar is best known for documenting the culture of the Yanomami tribe. Her efforts to help the Yanomani people earned her a Cultural Freedom Prize in 2000.

Renowned history scholar and JNU professor Romila Thapar has also taught at Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania. She has previously been in the news for rejecting the Padma Bhushan twice, stating she didn’t accept state awards. She has also often opposed Hindutva and the “saffronization” of education.
