The second longest-reigning ruler of Egypt, he is credited for building monuments and cities such as the Pi-Ramesses.

Ibn Battuta was a Berber-Moroccan explorer and scholar who traveled extensively, visiting most of the Old World over a period of three decades. He is one of the most traveled explorers in history. After returning home, Ibn Battuta dictated an account of his journeys, which is simply referred to as The Rihla.

Galen was a Greek physician, philosopher, and surgeon in the Roman Empire. Regarded as one of the most proficient medical researchers in ancient history, Galen influenced the growth of several scientific disciplines, such as neurology, pharmacology, pathology, physiology, and anatomy. Lucius Verus was the Roman emperor from 161 to 169, alongside his adoptive brother Marcus Aurelius. Their succession together marked the first time that the Roman Empire was ruled by multiple emperors. The eldest son of Lucius Aelius Caesar, Verus hailed from the Nerva-Antonine dynasty. He ruled for only a few years before he died of an illness in 169.

Stefan Dušan reigned as the King of all Serbian and Maritime Lands from 1331 to 1346. He then reigned as the Emperor of the Serbian Empire from 16 April 1346 until his death on 20 December 1355. Stefan Dušan was counted among the most powerful monarchs of his generation as he had conquered a major part of southeast Europe.

One of the Four Masters of the Yuan Dynasty, Chinese painter Wang Meng was born into a family of painters and was the grandson of painter Zhao Mengfu. He was mistakenly associated with a conspiracy against the Ming dynasty emperor Taizu and spent the final years of his life in prison.

Andrea Orcagna was an Italian sculptor, painter, and architect. He is credited with overseeing the design and construction of Orvieto Cathedral's facade. He also worked at the Florence Cathedral as a consultant. Andrea Orcagna is also credited with teaching future painters like Tommaso del Mazza, Jacopo di Cione, and Nello di Vanni.

Owain Cyfeiliog, a warrior prince from the Welsh kingdom of Powys, was also a talented poet. Only one poem penned by him, Hirlas Owain, remains preserved to this day, but it is considered one of the finest in Welsh literature. He spent most of his life supporting the king of England.
