Gustavo "Guga" Kuerten is a former world No. 1 tennis player from Brazil. He achieved significant success during his career, winning the French Open singles title three times and the Tennis Masters Cup in 2000. Kuerten faced challenges with injuries that affected his participation in tournaments, eventually leading to his retirement in 2008. Despite these setbacks, he was recognized for his accomplishments and inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012. In 2016, he had the honor of being a torchbearer for the Rio Olympics.
