Kumail Nanjiani is a Pakistani-American actor, comedian, and screenwriter. In 2018, Kumail Nanjiani became the first screenwriter of Pakistani origin to be nominated for an Oscar under the Best Original Screenplay category; he received the nomination for the 2017 film The Big Sick. In 2018, he was named in Time magazine's list of 100 most influential people in the world.

Peter Coyote is known for his performances in movies such as E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Erin Brockovich, and A Walk to Remember. He became the first Academy Award announcer to appear on camera. He has delivered Emmy-winning narration in the documentary series The Pacific Century and The Roosevelts.

American engineer Robert Noyce, who co-invented the integrated circuit, later gained the nickname the Mayor of Silicon Valley. The co-founder of Intel and Fairchild Semiconductor, Noyce is also said to have given Silicon Valley its name with his invention that included a silicon microchip. He was also a swimming champion.

Bernice King is an American minister best known as the daughter of the popular activist and leader Martin Luther King Jr. Over the years, Barnice King has supported many noble causes for which she has been honored with several awards. In 2009, she was honored at the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Convention for her service to women.

Revolutionary leader and president of Southern Sudan John Garang was the man behind the term "Sudanism," which promoted cohesiveness among the people of Sudan. Orphaned at 10, he completed his education on scholarships but later rejected an offer from UCB to go to Tanzania. He died in a helicopter crash.

Iresh Zaker is a Bangladeshi actor, musician, and advertising executive. He is currently serving as the managing director of a marketing and advertising company called Asiatic 360, which is owned by his parents, Sara Zaker and Aly Zaker. As an actor, Zaker is best known for winning the National Film Award for his portrayal of Danny in Chuye Dile Mon.

Taimur Rahman is a Pakistani musician and political activist. He is best known as the spokesperson and lead guitarist of the famous progressive music band Laal. A fierce critic of religious fundamentalism and capitalist exploitation in Pakistan, Rahman won the Akhtar Hameed Khan Memorial Award in 2012 for his book The Class Structure of Pakistan.
