Steve Van Buren was a dominant football halfback for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL, winning four rushing titles and setting numerous records. Known for his powerful running style and speed, he was a key player in the Eagles' back-to-back championships in 1948 and 1949. After retiring, he coached minor league football and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1965. Van Buren is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in Eagles history, with his number retired by the team and multiple hall of fame inductions.
