Shivaji was an Indian warrior-king. He is credited with founding the Maratha Empire, which became a force to reckon with during the 18th century. He is also credited with creating his own navy. Considered one of the most important Indian kings and a hero of the Hindus, Shivaji's life and work have inspired several works of art, including films.

Danny Denzongpa is an Indian actor, director, and singer. Although he predominantly works in Hindi films, Denzongpa has also appeared in Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali films in a career spanning over 40 years. Danny Denzongpa, who has a couple of Filmfare Awards under his belt, was honored with Padma Shree, India's fourth-highest civilian award, in 2003.

Dr. Zakir Husain was the third President of India and  was the first President to die in office . During his lifetime, he helped found the National Muslim University which was later renamed Jamia Millia Islamia. He was honored with India's highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna in 1963.
