Joey Alexander, an Indonesian jazz pianist, made history by being the first Indonesian musician to perform at the Grammy Awards and chart on the Billboard 200. Recognized as a wunderkind, he received mentorship in jazz piano from his father. Notably, he won the Grand Prix at the 2013 Master-Jam Fest at the age of nine. Invited by Wynton Marsalis to play at Jazz at Lincoln Center in 2014, Alexander released his first album, "My Favorite Things," in 2015 at just 11 years old. He has performed at prestigious jazz festivals and for distinguished figures such as Herbie Hancock, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama.
