Comedy was “effortless” for Adam Waheed since childhood and friends and family encouraged him to try acting. Despite having no formal training, he moved to Los Angeles after completing education and started working as assistant to an acquaintance. He was unable to further his career in over a year and was inspired by few online creators to make videos for social media.

He was ready to return to New York, but posted few more videos as he waited for the month’s paycheck. His fourth video went viral overnight and earned over 400k views after being shared by celebrities like rapper Ludacris. Now confident, he quit his job and moved to New Hollywood. In the following months, his series called When You Have No Standards became particularly popular, earning him 500k followers and over a million views consistently. However, he wasn’t making any money and was rather borrowing from his sister for rent.

Adam Waheed learned about brand endorsements by stalking popular internet personalities like King Bach and planned for a “crazy viral” video featuring a giraffe to attract big brands. He emotionally blackmailed his sister on his birthday to borrow $3000 to book a hugely discounted giraffe. While the gamble paid off as the video earned seven million views, he could not attract brands until he allowed one of his friends, with access to Facebook monetization beta, to post the video on his Facebook. The Facebook post received 50 million views, earning $36,000, half of which he got from his friend according to their agreement. The very next day, T-Mobile approached him with a $20,000 brand deal, which was very successful, earning him a yearly deal with the brand. Within a year, he did sponsored videos for numerous brands like Old Spice, Disney, Mountain Dew and Adidas, and also did a show for Comedy Central.

Adam Waheed is one of few internet stars who have been able to shift his fan base from one platform to another and now has millions of fans on any social media platform he is on. He stated that while he sometimes creates content specifically meant for one platform, he is also mindful about shooting his videos in a way so that they fit other platforms. He regrets the fact that he initially delayed starting his career with insignificant excuses like lack of professional equipments or his unpolished acting skills, and advices his fans to start pursuing their dreams immediately. Adam, whose ultimate goal is to be the biggest comedic actor, writer and director of all time, is continuously reinventing himself by acquiring new skills. He is passionate about making a positive change in the world and has raised roughly $30,000 to build an elementary school for children in rural Indonesia. He also co-owns a pizzeria at Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, California, which he claims he acquired to eat free pizzas.

Adam Waheed was born on October 29, 1992 in New York, United States. He has Egyptian ancestry. His father’s name is Wahedullah Waheed and he has three sisters named Galaxy, Gabriella and Sabrina. Gabriella is married to wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. Adam was a big troublemaker growing up. He lettered one season as a football player at Commack High School and later played divisional level while attending Southern Methodist University in 2012-14, even though he was mostly benched apart from few special team appearances. He has a Bachelor of Arts/Science degree. He loves to play golf with his friends in spare time. He considers himself a champion of the Connect Four board game.
