Adrien Brody was born on April 14, 1973, to parents Elliot Brody and Sylvia Plachy in New York. While his father Eliot worked as a history professor and painter, Adrien’s mother was a photojournalist. Though Adrien was half-Jewish and half-Catholic by birth, he wasn’t closely connected to either religion.
As a child, Adrien used to accompany his mother on various assignments for the weekly newspaper ‘Village Voice’ where she worked. He feels that this exposure makes him comfortable in front of the camera.
