Aimee Rachel Osbourne is an English-American actress and musician who came into the spotlight after her appearance on MTV's adaptation of 'Wuthering Heights'. Later, her single 'Raining Gold' also became quite popular, receiving two million hits in 60 days. Her songs and albums are released under the name 'ARO', which are her initials. She could gain fame like her siblings by appearing on 'The Osbournes', the show in which her entire family was involved, but declined the offer, citing privacy issues. She choose to chart her own path. Aimee struggled for years with family issues, career uncertainty, loneliness and depression before finally finding success in her career. It took her some time and several psychotherapy sessions to learn the importance of acceptance and forgiveness in life. Her relationships with her parents improved and she fought her adversities to shine like a rock star. Following into her father Ozzy Osbourne's footsteps, she entered the world of music in 2010; however, she decided to take up synthesizer pop in contrast to his heavy metal style. She is greatly influenced by Kate Bush, Portishead, PJ Harvey and Massive Attack. The darkness she faced early in her life has a deep influence on her song writing style, and thus, melancholy is a recurrent theme in her music.
