Alaia Baldwin Biography

While Alaia Baldwin is the eldest of the three model cousins including her sister, Hailey, and her cousin, Ireland Baldwin, she is actually the last one who made her mark in the modeling industry. In October 2015, at the age of 22, Alaia Badwin was scouted by renowned model manager, Rene Gonzalez, and was signed by newly established talent agency, State Management, during the New York Fashion Week. By the time, Hailey had already walked the runway for Tommy Hilfiger and Philipp Plein a few weeks earlier at New York and Milan fashion weeks. However, this Alaia’s first modeling assignment as she had previously worked with Major Models as well, but was not as successful as her siblings. After signing the new deal, she relocated to New York City to focus on her career fulltime. With her strikingly different look from her blonde sisters, the brunette beauty with smoky eyes has been able to carve a niche for herself in edgy high-end fashion modeling. While still far behind her sisters in terms of social media fame, she is gaining fans quickly on Instagram and currently boasts of 49.5k followers.

Alaia Baldwin was born on January 23, 1993 in Nyack, New York, United States, to Stephen and Kennya Baldwin. Her father, known for films such as 'The Usual Suspects', 'The Young Riders', 'Born on the Fourth of July' and 'Scare Tactics', is the youngest brother of the famous Baldwin clan that also consists of actors Alec, Daniel and William. Her mother, an established artist and graphics designer, is the daughter of Bossa Nova legend, Eumir Deodato, a Brazilian pianist, composer, record producer and arranger who won the ‘Grammy Award’ for ‘Best Pop Instrumental Performance’ in 1974.

Alaia is the eldest of her parents' two daughters and has a sister named Hailey Baldwin, also a model, who recently graced news headlines due to her engagement to Canadian pop sensation, Justin Bieber. Alaia also has a number of famous cousins, including Alec Baldwin's daughter, Ireland, a fashion model and actress. Interestingly, the cousins are not the only models in the family as their uncle William had modeled for Calvin Klein back in 1986. She also supports uncle Billy in his charitable efforts. Alaia is non vegetarian, but follows a gluten-free diet. She reportedly "just googles her family" when she gets bored.

For a long time, Alaia Baldwin was involved with Andrew Aronow, the producer of Pocket Aces Productions, LLC and Fandom (documentary). During this period, the couple didn't shy away from public display of affection on social media. About a month before their wedding, they vacationed together and shared pictures from the outing on Instagram. One week before the wedding, she posted a picture of them from their Harper's BAZAAR photoshoot. Both the snaps were tagged 'almostaronow'.

On September 2nd, 2017, the couple tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony at Blue Hill restaurant at Stone Barns in Westchester County in New York. Her sister, Hailey, served as the maid of honor, while her cousin, Ireland, served as one of the bridesmaids. The maid of honor, as well as all the bridesmaids, wore black dresses in stark contrast to the bride's white gown. The wedding event was well-documented on social media through pictures and videos posted by Hailey, Ireland, and Alaia's friend Sailor Brinkley-Cook.

The couple adopted a puppy named Domino from Beni Pomskies in August 2018. On their 1st anniversary, she posted a picture from their wedding on her Instagram with the caption "1 year down... 1000000 more to go..." Following her sister's engagement to Justin Bieber, she posted a picture of her and Hailey from her own wedding to congratulate her, captioning it: "From one bride to the next ..... congratulations to my baby sister on this exciting next chapter!"
