Not much is known about his family, except that fact that he is biracial. His father is black, while his mother is white.

He seems to be quite secretive about his personal life.

Alantae Nicholas began his journey on social media with the app TikTok (previously known as musical.ly). He launched his TikTok account, taetoowavy, in April 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

His comedy videos and lip-syncs have become quite popular with his viewers. His account has already gained over 38.2 million likes and more than 1.7 million followers. His first TikTok clip to cross 1 million views featured him using the green screen filter to fight himself.

In May 2020, he posted a TikTok dance clip set to the DaBaby song ROCKSTAR. It is believed Alantae was banned from TikTok once but is now back on the app.

His Instagram account, taetoowavy, has gained over 41.5 thousand followers. One of Alantae’s initial posts on Instagram, dating back to December 2018, showed him posing with his parents. His fans appreciate his biracial heritage but many wonder why he is not brown, being the son of a black father and a white mother.

On August 10, 2020, Alantae Nicholas posted a picture of himself with an unnamed girl on his Instagram account. The picture showed them hugging each other but had no name mentioned. It had a “crossed fingers” emoji as its caption. While many people assumed she was his girlfriend and began judging her, posting their positive or negative comments, many others asked people to calm down as nobody knew who the girl was. There has been no official confirmation of any relationship from Alantae’s end yet.
