Career
Alex D. Linz’s rose to tremendous popularity at a very young age! He was hardly six years old when his parents introduced him to the world of television and films. He made his debut in an episode ‘The Replacements’ of the sitcom ‘’Cybill’ in 1995. Even though it was just a minor part, it effectively marked his entry into the show biz. Subsequently, he played small parts in a few other television series before foraying into films with a role in the romantic comedy movie ‘One Fine Day’ (1996) as the onscreen son of Michelle Pfeiffer. A year later, little Alex got selected for the role that would establish him as the darling of the masses for years to come—he was cast as Alex Pruitt in the comedy film ‘Home Alone 3!’ His portrayal of the resourceful 8-year-old boy who singlehandedly outwits a gang of criminals won the hearts of the viewers and made Linz a much beloved child actor. Over the ensuing years he appeared in many television series and films, and also voiced the character of Franklin in the ‘The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald’ short film series. Then he got another major role in 2001 when he was cast as the title character Max Keeble in ‘Max Keeble's Big Move,’ a comedy film about the adventures of a 12-year-old paperboy and his fight against the ‘Evil Ice Cream Man.’ While Alex continued to receive movie offers, he chose to limit his acting career after this movie in order to focus on his studies. Thus he made only sporadic acting appearances in the 2000s before quitting the profession in 2007.

Alexander “Alex” David Linz was born on January 3, 1989 in Santa Barbara, California, U.S. to Deborah Baltaxe, an attorney, and Dr. Daniel Linz, a professor of Communication at the University of California. He is of French- and Austrian-Jewish descent from his mother’s side and of German descent from his father’s. Eldest among three siblings, he has two younger sisters named Lily Alice and Livia. His parents divorced when the children were young and he lived with his mother. He attended Alexander Hamilton High School in Los Angeles. He then continued his studies at the University of California, Berkeley. During his college days, he was a member of the improvisation and sketch comedy group, jericho!
