Alex Guzman Bio

Alex Guzman was first introduced to social media by his cousin, who often invited him to participate in his Facebook live videos and occasional YouTube videos. Later, he found fame on TikTok, formerly known as musical.ly, for posting lip-sync videos. Thanks to his funny lip-sync videos to the tunes of popular singers, he currently had around 3.6 million fans and 230 million hearts on the short-form video-sharing app. He is also an Instagram star, with over 1.3 million people following his page. Inspired by his cousin, Guzman decided to create his own YouTube channel to post funny videos. He joined YouTube in May 2015, but began posting videos only in July 2017 after having garnered some following on other social media platforms. His content on the popular video-sharing website mostly included challenge and reaction videos, in addition to compilations of his old musical.ly videos. His fan following on other platforms crossed over to YouTube and helped his channel grow rapidly, which currently has over 840k subscribers.

Guzman uses the alias 'Blesiv' for all his social media profiles. In a YouTube video posted on March 14, 2019, he explained how he came up with the alias. He revealed that he originally played games with the gamer tag ‘Xander G’, but had to come up with a new tag after he was invited into a clan to explore the search and destroy game mode in 'Call of Duty'. Since all the clan members used 'Vexa' as a prefix to their gamer tag, he also needed to come up with something new. He was at the time a diehard fan of the rapper Drake and was particularly fond of the song '6 God', which was illustrated on the cover with hands folded in a prayer. He interpreted the image as asking for blessings, which led to him combining the word 'Bless' with his favorite number four. He wanted to choose the tag 'Bless4' but it was already taken, so he used the Roman numerals instead, making it 'BlessIV'. When short gamer tags became 'cool' in the PS3 community, he shortened his alias to 'Blesiv'.

Alex Guzman was born on October 20, 2001 in Reno, Nevada, United States to Alex and Gala Rivas. His parents, grandparents and uncles are all from Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua. He grew up with his older brother Harry and younger brother Henry in Nevada. His mother often makes appearances in his videos, and so do his friends and relatives. Guzman’s cousin Emrick often helps him with his videos, and he is also known for collaborating with his best friend Carlos Mena. He studied at ‘Sparks High School’ in Sparks, Nevada. As per his posts and videos on various social media apps, he is a huge fan of R&B, hip-hop and pop music.

Guzman was in a relationship with Instagram star Hailey Orona, who goes by the online alias 'real.ona'. The two apparently had an on-and-off relationship, and their constant fights eventually led to their break up. In July 2018, Guzman went on a Twitter rant, which led to the speculations that Hailey had cheated on him. She subsequently posted an Instagram story, claiming that he didn't care about her, therefore, she had decided to move on with her life. Soon after that, she began posting photos and videos with another social media star, Brandon Westenberg. When she posted an intimate video with Brandon, in which Guzman could also be seen in the background, his fans were infuriated. Guzman later posted his reaction to the rumored relationship in an Instagram story, in which he could not hold back his tears. This prompted his fans to spam Hailey's social media platforms with hate comments. She responded with another live story, criticizing people for standing by her heartbroken ex, but not caring about her when she went through a similar phase during their relationship.
