Alexis Maas is the widow of the famous TV presenter and talk show host Johnny Carson. Her husband was best known for his show ‘The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson’ which aired from 1962 to 1992. He had earned much fame and popularity in his extensive career and was the recipient of six Emmy Awards. He was also awarded the ‘Presidential Medal of Freedom’ and had received a Kennedy Center Honor as well. Alexis Maas was his fourth and last wife, and Carson spent the later years of his life with her. Carson got married to Maas in June 1987 and the couple remained together till his death in 2005. This marriage was the longest—and the happiest—one in Carson’s life. Though Carson’s past relationships had been full of conflicts and troubles, his marriage with Alexis was relatively peaceful. Despite the major age gap between them, the couple remained happily married until Carson died in 2005 at the age of 79.
