Alyssa Shouse Bio

Alyssa Shouse's professional career really began when she launched her own You Tube channel in December 2008 where she initially sang for fun. She chose You Tube because she wanted to reach out to maximum people and make them feel the way she felt about issues facing the world. Social media has been her main platform to get known and do the thing she loves most; that is singing.

It was Jason Derulo who discovered her on You Tube and signed her for his label ‘Future History’ in Oct 2010. The video was directed by Justin Baldoni and tells the tale of Alyssa’s rise to instant celebrity status. After making a music video with him and being featured on MTV, she went on to seriously pursue her career as a singer and songwriter.

In Mar 2011 she spent a few days in Nashville, where she wrote and recorded her song In My Heart. The new acoustic version of the song draws light to her strong vocal range that makes her stand out from other contemporary artists. At the age of 16, she released a cover of All I Want For Christmas Is You, making the song into a duet with her good friend Emma Taylor. The audio was a bit out of sync with the video, but fans still enjoyed it. In September 2014, when she was just 19, she went for her first musical tour covering 30 cities in the US. Ever since, she has been touring the US and reaching out to fans through You Tube.

Alyssa Shouse was born on May 24, 1995, in Howard County, Maryland. She comes from a large family of five sisters and one brother. She was brought up by her mother, Karen, who she attributes a lot. Very little is known about her father, except a few photographs on instagram. Her great grandfather was a World War II veteran who she is proud of. As a child she was fun-loving and sporty.

She participated in school talent shows from the time she was eight years old in the third grade. Due to her interest in musical at an early age, she completed her education through home school. She now lives in Ellicott, Maryland.

She has a daughter named Emilya with Charles Longoria. Emilya was born on April 25, 2017 and that time Alyssa and Charles were not married. She married Charles on October 20, 2019.
