Rise to Fame
Amber Davies auditioned for ‘The X Factor’ multiple times as a dancer through ‘Cirque Le Soir’ and once as a singer, but all those attempts were unsuccessful. According to her parents, Davies rejected the initial offer to appear on ‘Love Island’. The producers reached out to her and she eventually consented to be part of the show. She even said “no” to a lead role in the touring production of the musical ‘Hairspray’ to participate in the show.
The season three of the revived series ‘Love Island’ began airing on June 5, 2017 and ended on 24 July. It was hosted by Iain Stirling. Besides Davies, there were 31 other contestants, including Cetinay and Attwood. For the most part of the series, Davies remained paired up with Cetinay and in the end, they were crowned the co-winners of the season. The prize money, £50,000, was split between them.
After the conclusion of the show, Davies has been highly active. She gets handsomely compensated (around £5,000) for her appearances in clubs and events. She has recently signed a contract with the clothing brand Motel Rocks to be their brand ambassador. It reportedly earns her £500,000.
Davies has set up Strong Not Skinny along with her partners, choreographer Lisa Welham, and fitness guru Kevin Foster-Wiltshire. Their objective is to create a dance-based fitness and exercise plan that anyone can do.

Personal Life
Amber Davies was born on October 4, 1996, in Denbigh, a market town and community in Denbighshire, Wales. Her father, Hefin Davies, is a Denbighshire County Council plumber, while her mother, Susan Davies, is a psychiatric nurse. She has an older sister named Jade who is a musical theatre actress. She studied at Ysgol Twm o’r Nant, which is a non-denominational primary school in her hometown.

According to her parents, Davies had always been “a bit of a character and a little bit of rebellious when she was at school.” When she was just 13 or 14 years old, she already wanted to party hard. Her parents always had to be a step ahead of her. She got her belly button pierced at the age of 13! Davies was a popular kid in her school but had her share of disagreements with friends. Her parents claimed that while she did have “a bit of a hard time”, she always stood up for herself.
She had always been interested in performing arts. She had been taking part in talent shows since she was a child and when she was ten years old, she became the winner of the 2006 Urdd Eisteddfod. She also won prizes at the Dwyl Cerdd Dant Festival in Rhosllanerchrugog. After she graduated, she was hired onboard a cruise ship, where she worked for the next six months as a performer. She then took a job as a dancer at Cirque Le Soir, a famous circus-themed nightclub in London.
Like her sister, Davies was trained in musical theatre and at 16, earned a music and drama scholarship that required her to move to London in order to pursue it.
Davies dated Kem Cetinay, the co-winner of ‘Love Island’, after the show ended. They embraced the popularity they had garnered from the show and loved being at the centre of a media frenzy. They openly spoke about their extensive marriage plans, stating that they would have three weddings. However, they did not announce a date. In November 2017, it was revealed that the couple had split after having problems for several months. Davies and Cetinay released a statement shortly after, in which they confirmed that news.
After separating from Cetinay, she briefly dated Pete Wicks, who has been a cast member of ITV’s reality series ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ and reportedly flirted with singer-songwriter Olly Murs. Davies was introduced to Essex-native James Hawkins by footballer Bradley Dack, who is in a relationship with Davies’ friend Olivia Attwood. In June 2018, Davis stated that her romance with Hawkins had “fizzled out”.
