In 2015, with the help of his younger brother, Sumit, Amit Bhadana used the music video for Adele’s ‘Hello’ to create his first comedic video. After he shared it on social media, it garnered massive popularity, catapulting him to online fame almost overnight. As time went on, his audience started to grow rapidly and they encouraged him to make more videos. However, at the time, Bhadana was more focused on his studies and his pursuit of a law degree. His next significant work involved an Eminem video. It was also a huge success and he followed it up by making a dubbing video with footage from the Hindi film ‘Border’ (1997). After a while, he got tired of making dubbing videos and on the advice of a friend, set up his Vine account. He knew, from the beginning, that he wanted to do something unique with his page. He not only used his native Gujari language in his videos but also wrote dialogues in simple, catchy rhymes. It did not take him long to find a huge audience on Vine as well.

After Vine shut down for good, he started posting content primarily on YouTube. He set up his eponymous channel originally on October 24, 2012. The oldest video was posted on March 1, 2017. These days, each of his videos receives millions of views.

In the initial days, Bhadana received some criticism for the “unapologetic Indian-ness” of his content but he chose to ignore them. He writes his sketches himself and has a friend named Vipin Kumar who serves as his cameraperson. Bhadana consciously keeps his videos clean and avoids profanities and curses. According to him, it is easy to make young boys and girls laugh, but he wants to make content that will make their parents laugh as well.

Bhadana is also active on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook and regularly posts news about his videos on each of these platforms. His first single is set to release on January 1, 2019.

Contradictory information is available on his birth date and place. According to most sources, he was born on September 7, 1994, in Johripur, Delhi, India, while some state that he was born on September 7, 1991, in Faridabad, Haryana, India. His parents’ names are reportedly Narendra Bhadana and Munish Devi. He has two siblings, a sister and a brother named Sumit.

Bhadana was the class clown in his school years, enthralling his fellow students as well as the teachers with his light-hearted antics and jokes. He studied at a school in the Yamuna Vihar locality of northeast Delhi. After graduating from high school, he subsequently pursued a bachelor’s degree in commerce and went on to study law. He graduated from the law college sometime in 2017.

Since the beginning of his career on social media, he has enjoyed the support of his close friends and siblings. His parents did not know that he was gradually becoming one of the biggest social media stars in India. They encouraged him to continue his education and did not pressurize him to seek out a job. However, they did become curious when he started filming his videos. In an interview, Bhadana humorously mentioned that his parents thought that he might be making wedding videos. They eventually learned the truth after the Hindi-language newspaper ‘Punjab Kesari’ published an article on him. Even then, they were tentative. Ultimately, they also started supporting him.

There are rumours linking him to fellow social media star and frequent collaborator, Riya Mavi. However, nothing has been confirmed by either party.
