Ammika and Chris’s relationship rumors started surfacing back in 2015. However, back then, none of them had given any statement about the relationship. Instead, Chris was linked to other women, and that eventually overshadowed the stories about his affair with Ammika. The rumors flared up again in June 2018, after Ammika was seen exchanging some love emojis with Chris on one of her 'Instagram' posts.

The two were spotted again in January 2019, when Chris was detained in Paris after a woman charged him of raping her at a local hotel. Chris and Ammika were enjoying a vacation there, and a few days before the arrest, they were spotted at the 'Cirque Bonheur' nightclub, involved in intimate moments. The 'Daily Mail' reported that Ammika and Chris were dancing and were all over each other at the nightclub.

Ammika seemed perturbed by Chris’s legal ordeal. She spoke about the incident on her 'Instagram' page, documenting the whole trip. The two, however, had reportedly broken up by late April 2019, as Chris had allegedly begun dating model Indyamarie Jean. However, Indyamarie and Chris split because of Ammika's pregnancy with Chris’s child.

In June 2019, it was reported that Ammika was pregnant with Chris’s child. He has a daughter named Royalty Brown, born on May 27, 2014, in Texas, from his relationship with his then-girlfriend, Nia Guzman. Chris was dating Karrueche Tran when the news of Nia’s pregnancy was revealed, and the second time too, the case was no different. Ammika’s pregnancy news caused Chris’s break-up with Indyamarie. In Nia’s case, she had to fight for Royalty’s custody for years before the pair was granted joint child custody along with a child support agreement in place. Chris came to know about Royalty after she turned a year old. Following this, he had to get along with Nia for the sake of parenting.

The news of Ammika’s pregnancy surfaced after she shared a few pictures from her birthday party on 'Instagram.' The 'Instagram'-model, who is known for her bikini-perfect body, was spotted with a tiny bump in the photos. Though she never confirmed the pregnancy, she gave some hints to prove the same. Chris, too, gave signs of starting a family with Ammika by leaving comments such as “my baby mama” on her 'Instagram' photos. It was confusing to many, as the two had broken up a few months before the pregnancy rumor first sprouted. Many thought that he might be calling her to make up for a fight they might have had before. However, the two finally confirmed the news a few days later to 'Page Six' and confirmed that Royalty Brown would soon be an elder sister.

Ammika was born on May 16, 1993, in the US. She is of African–American, Asian, and Native American ethnicity. According to her 'Instagram' description, Ammika calls herself "blasian with cherokee blood" [sic] by ethnicity. She is an alumna of the ‘University of California, Los Angeles' (UCLA).

Ammika bears a stark resemblance to Chris’s former girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, who also has traces of Asian ethnicity.
