After her school education, Acosta began auditioning for roles, and began her career with commercials and print ads, in New York City. She made her film debut in 2008 playing a minor role of a ‘hot bartender’ in the film ‘The Next Hit.’

Acosta got her break in 2010, when Rob Burnett and Jon Beckerman cast her in the lead role of ‘Kelly Acevedo’ in their independent film, ‘We Made This Movie.’ The film released in 2012, and Acosta received good reviews for her work.

She has portrayed ‘Cyn’ in ‘Freelancer’ (2012), a ‘FBI Agent Sarah Ramsey’ in ‘By the Gun’ (2014), and ‘Lori’ in ‘Construction’ (2012). She also appeared as ‘Abby’ in ‘Fat Camp’ (2017).

Acosta has worked in several television series. She made her television debut in the role of ‘Eden Grace’ in the 2011 series ‘Grace.’ She appeared as ‘Phoebe’ in Breaking In,’ while her other television appearances include ‘GCB’ (2012), ‘Second Generation Wayans’ (2013), ‘Perception’ (2013), ‘Castle,’ and ‘Supernatural,’ both in 2014, among others.

In ‘HBO’ comedy series ‘Ballers’ (2015), she starred in a recurring role alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. She wasn’t paired opposite Johnson, but portrayed the role of ‘Annabella,’ who is the girlfriend of ‘Ricky Jarret,’ played by John D. Washington.

Another role that fetched her fame was that of ‘Natalie Vasquez,’ a former rival of ‘Alex’ (played by Priyanka Chopra) at the FBI Academy, in the thriller series ‘Quantico’ (2015-2016). She was one of the important characters in this successful ‘ABC’ series.

Subsequently, Acosta appeared in a recurring role of ‘Amelia Briggs’ in the 2017 show ‘The Arrangement.’ Her other recurring role was that of ‘Camila Vega’ in ‘Chicago P.D.’ (2017).

Acosta has modeled for a number of print ads and appeared on several magazine covers. She is active on ‘Instagram’ and has a huge fan base.
