Career

Born to an accountant, Andrew Form spent his early years in low-level jobs and eventually branched out into films by working for the producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson as a personal assistant. However, he continued working as an assistant to learn more about the industry before plunging into becoming a full-time producer. In the next several years, he was the producer behind movies like ‘Trading Favors’ (1997), ‘Kissing a Fool’ (1998), and ‘The Shrink Is In’ (2001). He landed his breakthrough and a major hit in 2003, with the release of ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’, for which he was the executive producer. The horror movie starred Jessica Biel, Jonathan Tucker, and Andrew Bryniarski, and it was a hit at the box office. Form decided to fully immerse himself in movies after this. In the next several years, he was the producer behind many popular international hits, such as ‘The Hitcher’ (2007), ‘The Unborn’ (2009), ‘Horsemen’ (2009), ‘Friday the 13th’ (2009), and ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ (2010).

He produced movies such as ‘The Purge’ (2013), ‘The Occult’ (2013), and ‘The Purge: Anarchy’ (2014) before landing the rights for ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the movies starred the likes of Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and William Fichtner. Despite low ratings from critics, the movie was a major hit at several box offices throughout the world. Form’s love for horror and thriller movies helped him choose similar movies under his production. In the next couple of years, he produced ‘Ouija’ (2014) and ‘Project Almanac’. At the same time, he also joined the adventure drama series ‘Black Sails’ as the producer. The show starred Jessica Parker Kennedy, Toby Stephens, and Hannah New. He produced 38 episodes from 2014 to 2017. In 2014, he also worked as the producer for the Steven Kane and Hank Steinberg sci-fi drama ‘The Last Ship.’ The series starred Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin, and Charles Parnell in leading roles. Form produced 55 episodes from 2014 to 2018, across five seasons.

In 2016, Andrew Form decided to take it further and joined as the executive producer of the reality TV series ‘Billion Dollar Wreck’ and was credited for nine episodes of the series. In the same year, he was the producer behind the popular movies ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’, ‘Ouija: Origin of Evil’ and ‘The Purge: Election Year.’ In 2017, he was the executive producer of the mini-series ‘Horror at the Cecil Hotel’, which ran for three episodes. He landed the biggest hit of his career in 2018, when he joined as the producer of the movie ‘A Quiet Place’. Starring big names such as Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, and Millicent Simmonds, the movie won many awards and was declared a worldwide hit.
