Angelo Pagan is a well-known actor-turned-entrepreneur, who often made the headlines for the events pertaining to his personal life rather than his professional life. Be it his troubled relationship with his first wife or his second marriage with actress Leah Marie Remini, almost every personal event of his life turned into a topic of discussion for his fans and general movie buffs. As far as his acting career is concerned, Angelo has worked in a few movies, such as ‘Swordfish’, ‘Almost a Woman’ and ‘Dance with Me’. Apart from films, he has also appeared in many commercials and television series. He was one of the members of the band, ‘Salsa Caliente’, and has a hit album titled ‘No Tengas Miedo’ to his credit. Childhood & Early Life
Angelo was born on May 16, 1968 in Puerto Rico. Shortly after his birth, Angelo’s family moved to The Bronx, New York City where he was raised. Angelo holds a bachelor’s degree from City College of San Francisco. Right from his college days, he aspired to become an actor.
In order to fine-tune his acting skills, he took part in almost all the stage plays organized by his college drama club. At the age of 22, he moved to California to pursue his acting career. There he enrolled himself at an entertainment agency, hoping that he would get acting and modelling offers through the agency.

Career
Thanks to his good looks, he quickly became popular among the photographers of several magazines. Soon, he turned into a model, posing for the covers of several fashion magazines. This paved the way for him to be featured in a few commercials and in no time, he was bombarded with offers to play several roles in various TV series. However, the roles offered to him were not significant enough and were often shrouded by the roles played by other actors.
Angelo’s big breakthrough came in the year 1989 when he starred in the television series, ‘Midnight Caller’. The series was first aired on October 25, 1988 on the NBC network and went on to become extremely popular among fans and critics. Thanks to the popularity of the series, Angelo’s career had found just the impetus it needed.
He then made his big screen debut with the romantic film, ‘Dance with Me’. The film released on August 21, 1998 and helped Angelo to get noticed by other prominent filmmakers. Though he played a minor role, he managed to outshine actors like Vanessa Williams, Kris Kristofferson and Jane Krakowski.
He was next seen in the 1998 comedy series, ‘The King of Queens’. The show was first aired on September 21, 1998, but Angelo joined the cast in 1999. He appeared in six episodes, playing five different roles. Among all the roles played by him, his most loved character was Hector, who is the jealous boyfriend of Carrie Heffernan, played by Leah Marie Remini. This character of his was featured in an episode titled, ‘Affair Trade’.
In the year 2001, Angelo played an important role in the film ‘Swordfish’, for which he gained a lot of appreciation and fame. ‘Swordfish’, a crime thriller, was released on June 8, 2001 under Warner Bros Productions. In the film, Angelo played the character of Torres. The same year, he appeared in a made for television movie titled ‘Almost a Woman’. The film was a biopic of Esmeralda Santiago, a writer from Puerto Rico.
Angelo then played a recurring role in the 2014 TV series, ‘Leah Remini: It’s All Relative’. The show, which was aired on TLC, spoke about Leah’s life and her experiences being a mother and a wife.
Angelo is also a musician and even had a short career in music. He was a member of the musical group, ‘Salsa Caliente’. While on a concert tour, he sang a few tracks for the group. He is also credited for the album ‘No Tengas Miedo’ (Don’t Be Afraid).
Angelo stepped into entrepreneurship in November 1999. He started off by taking over Vivian’s Millennium Cafe, which he now owns along with his father-in-law, George Remini. Located in Studio City, California, the cafe was established in 1963 and serves delicious snacks and aromatic Puerto Rican coffee.
Personal Life
Angelo has three children from his first marriage. Not much is known about his ex-wife and the reason for their separation. Rumours about Angelo being a habitual cheater are often mentioned as the cause of their divorce.
Angelo met actress and comedian, Leah Remini in 1996. They both met at a Cuban restaurant and had an interesting conversation for a while. Soon, their relationship blossomed and Angelo finally proposed to Leah in 2002.
In order to make the moment memorable, he took her to a candle light dinner in Hollywood, where he proposed to her. The same year, the couple took their relationship forward by walking down the aisle. Their wedding was filmed and was aired on the channel, VH1 special. They welcomed their daughter, Sofia Bella, on June 16, 2004.
In 2015, Leah made a shocking statement, claiming that her husband was cheating on her. But the issue was resolved a year later when both Leah and Angelo swore to mend their ways. Angelo confessed to being a cheater, while Leah admitted that she was being a self-obsessed person. After identifying and rectifying their mistakes, the couple has been leading a happy married life ever since.
