Anne Archer made her first TV appearance in 1970 in an episode of the series ‘Men at Law’. Two years later, she made her film debut in the comedy film ‘The Honkers’. In 1973, she featured in the drama series ‘Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice’ as Carol Sanders. That year, the actress also starred in Charles Eastman's drama film ‘The All-American Boy’ alongside Jon Voight and E. J. Peaker. This was followed by her performance in the short film ‘The Mark of Zorro’.
In 1975 and 1976, Archer made appearances in the action detective series ‘Switch’. During this time, she also had guest roles in the dramas ‘Little House on the Prairie’, ‘McCloud’ and ‘Petrocelli’. After featuring in a few episodes of the series ‘Seventh Avenue’, she was cast as Annie in the movie ‘Paradise Alley’. The sports drama flick focuses on the life of three brothers who become engaged in professional wrestling.
Anne Archer began the 1980s with roles in the films ‘Hero at Large’ and ‘Raise the Titanic’, both of which were released in 1980. In 1983, she played Annie Benjamin Nichols in the sitcom ‘The Family Tree’. Two years later, she was cast as Cassandra Wilder in the soap opera ‘Falcon Crest’. The actress ended the decade with her breakthrough performance in ‘Fatal Attraction’, a psychological thriller that earned her an Academy Award nomination.

In the mid-2000s, Anne Archer acted in the films ‘November’ and ‘Man of the House’. In 2008, she joined the cast of the comedy drama ‘Privileged’. In 2017, she was seen as Mother Monica in the thriller flick ‘Trafficked’.
