Anthony David “Ant” McPartlin is a British TV presenter, actor, comedian, singer and rapper. He is best known as one half of the TV presenting and acting duo ‘Ant & Dec’, with the other half being Declan Donnelly. He is famous for presenting the reality TV series ‘Britain's Got Talent’, ‘Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway’ and ‘Text Santa’. Currently, the popular presenter is hosting the reality game show ‘I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!’ Besides this, he has presented several other shows such as ‘PokerFace’, ‘Pop Idol’ and ‘Push the Button’, to name a few. Today, McPartlin, along with his partner Donnelly, has emerged as one of the best TV presenters in the British entertainment industry. He has received several awards and honors in his career. The presenter cum actor was appointed as an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in 2016 for his services to broadcasting and entertainment. Talking about awards, McPartlin has won British Comedy Awards, TV Quick & TV Choice Awards, British Academy Television Awards, TRIC Awards and many more.

Career
Anthony McPartlin’s first appearance on TV was on the kid’s workshop series ‘Why Don't You?’ After this, he appeared on the Children's BBC programme ‘Byker Grove’ that catapulted him to prominence. In 1994, he did ‘The Cinder Path’ followed by ‘The Ant & Dec Show’ the next year. Then in 1998, the British TV presenter presented ‘Ant & Dec Unzipped’. The same year, he presented ‘SMTV Live’ and ‘CD: UK’. The following year, McPartlin was offered ‘Friends Like These’. This British game show was hosted by him till 2001.
During 2001 and 2002, McPartlin did a lot of TV projects including ‘BRIT Awards’, ‘Slap Bang with Ant & Dec’, ‘Pop Idol’, ‘Engie Benjy’, ‘Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads?’, ‘Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway’ and ‘I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!’. Then in 2005, he presented ‘Ant & Dec's Gameshow Marathon’ followed by ‘Soccer Aid’ and ‘PokerFace’ the following year. McPartlin gained worldwide recognition in the year 2007 when he started hosting ‘Britain's Got Talent’. Two years later, he was offered another TV show ‘Ant & Dec's Christmas Show’. In 2011, he was cast as a presenter for two shows, namely ‘Red or Black?’ and ‘Text Santa’ respectively. Then, the television presenter hosted ‘The Prince's Trust’ in 2016. Anthony David “Ant” McPartlin was born on 18 November 1975 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, to parents Christine Woodhall and Raymond McPartlin. He has a sister named Sarha as well as a half-sister named Emma. McPartlin attended Wingrove Primary School.
Coming to his love life, he married his longtime girlfriend Lisa Armstrong (a popular make-up artist) on 22 July 2006.
