April Michelle Bowlby was born on July 30, 1980, in Vallejo, California, US. Not much is known about her parents, family background, and childhood, except that she relocated with her family to Manteca, California, as a child. She made her acting debut with TV, playing the role of an “extra” named ‘Kaitlin Rackish’ in an episode of the ‘CBS’ forensic crime drama ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,’ titled Eating Gilbert Grissom?’ She then appeared in single-episode roles in other series, such as ‘CSI: NY’ (2005) and ‘Freddie’ (2005).
Her real breakthrough came in 2005, when she bagged the recurring role of ‘Kandi/Kimber’ in the third season of the ‘CBS’ sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men.’ She appeared in a total of 17 episodes of the series, with her role being credited as part of the main cast in the fourth season of the series and as a guest star in the tenth and the twelfth seasons.
Meanwhile, she essayed the role of ‘Heather’ in the David Flores-directed ‘Sci-Fi Channel’ original movie ‘Sands of Oblivion,’ which premiered on July 28, 2007. She also featured as ‘Meg’ in four episodes of the ‘CBS’ sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother.’

The main role of ‘Stacy Barrett’ in the American legal comedy–drama/fantasy series ‘Drop Dead Diva’ marked her next notable TV project and has perhaps been the most remarkable role of her career so far. She essayed the role in all six seasons of the series that originally aired on ‘Lifetime’ from July 12, 2009, to June 22, 2014. The series not only furthered her fame to new heights in the US but also earned her international recognition. It was broadcast in several nations, including the UK, Australia, Mexico, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
She appeared as the mean and selfish ‘Olivia’ in the Angel Gracia-directed US romantic comedy ‘From Prada to Nada.’ The film had a limited theatrical release in the US on January 28, 2011. It grossed $3 million.

Bowlby appeared as the ‘DC Comics’ superheroine ‘Elasti-Girl in the character’s first live-action appearance, in the series ‘Titans.’ The series premiered on October 12, 2018.
