Ashley Estes Kavanaugh is an American political aide and public official. She is the wife of US Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. She became a public figure due to her close ties with the Bush family. She was the personal assistant to former US president George W Bush, while he was the governor of Texas. Ashley was active in the presidential campaigns conducted by Bush. When Bush became the country’s president, Ashley was appointed as his personal secretary. She held this post for almost 4 years. While working at the ‘White House,’ she met Brett Kavanaugh, who worked there as an associate counsel. Their marriage was attended by several public figures, including Bush, the erstwhile president of the US. Following their marriage, Ashley continued to work at the ‘White House,’ as the director of special projects of the ‘George W Bush Presidential Foundation.’ Later, she acted as the media relations coordinator of the ‘George W Bush Presidential Center.’ She was in the news recently, after Brett Kavanaugh was accused of sexual assault. She stood strongly by her husband and spoke in his favor. Currently, Ashley serves as the town manger of the village of Chevy Chase Section Five, Maryland.
