Ashley Newman Bio

Ashley Newman initially gained recognition by posting song covers on her You Tube channel; however, it was after she joined TikTok in 2019 that her popularity soared. Her first video that went viral on her account @ashleynewmann was a video of her singing Halo by Beyoncé in her car. The video garnered over 500K views, 400K likes and added 50K followers to her account. She later shifted to her @ashleynewman account wherein she posts both song covers and comedy skits. It today has over 2.8 million followers and 176 million likes. Ashley’s own favourite video is the one where she sang River, the single by the Scottish-American singer/songwriter Bishop Briggs.

A little before this, in 2018, she participated in and won a contest began by social media influencers Charles Gitnick and Joey Birlem. For the competition, she composed and recorded the song Anything, that was penned by one of the fans of Charles and Joey. The win not only took her to Los Angeles, but also gave her an opportunity to work with two-time Grammy Award nominee and LA music producer Alex Cantrall on a four track EP in 2019. The same year, she released her first single Photos, a song that talks about her desire to take things slowly with her partner in a relationship and let others know about it only later.

In 2019 again, Ashley Newman became a part of the Boys of Summer Tour together with other content creators like Zoe Laverne, Cody Orlove and Josh Richards. As part of the tour, she performed in various cities and also did meet and greet with her fans. By the time the tour concluded, she had added another 600K followers to her account. She was invited for the 2020 Boys of Summer Tour as well; however due to Covid 19 pandemic, the event got postponed. She is once again a part of 2021 tour. In 2020, she released another of her single U2stay. In future, she wants to become and established singer like Ariana Grande.

Apart from TikTok, Ashley Newman is also active on Instagram where she is followed by over 164K followers. On You Tube account, she has more than 15K subscribers.

Ashley Newman was born on 7 November 2001 in Dallas, Texas, United States. She has an older sibling – a brother called Cooper. She has been fond of singing ever since she was young and performed songs at her church. She was also a competitive cheerleader.

Currently, she resides in Los Angeles.
