Ashton Meem Biography

Ashton Meem was born in September 6, 1987 in Richmond, Virginia, United States of America. She was born to Molly and Lang Meem and was raised in Richmond. She went to the famous ‘St. Catherine’s High School,’ which is the oldest private, all-girls school in Richmond. After graduating high school, Ashton attended the ‘University of Georgia.’ After studying there for three years, she got herself enrolled at the ‘North Carolina State University’ in Raleigh, North Carolina, from where she graduated in the year 2010. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Ashton took up an internship in media marketing. She then worked as a consultant before landing a permanent job in an insurance company called ‘American Family Insurance.’ She currently works for the company as an Advertising Operations Assistant and is focused on improving her life through her career.

Ashton Meem met Russell Wilson when she was in her high school. Despite being more than a year older to Russel, Ashton was attracted to the tall and handsome hunk. Russel at the time was proficient at playing various sports including football, baseball, and basketball. In fact, they met during a game at ‘Collegiate School’ in Richmond, where Russell was a star player. While their first meeting did not last long they however, met again at a summer party post which they started dating. When Ashton started attending the ‘University of Georgia,’ they did everything they could to keep their long-distance relationship alive. In order to make sure their relationship doesn’t fade away Ashton decided to continue her college education at the ‘North Carolina State University’ just so she can be with her boyfriend.

After dating for four years, Russell Wilson decided to pop the question with the help of their pet dog, a Pocket Beagle. In August 2010, Ashton Meem received the biggest surprise of her life when her pet dog walked in wearing a tag that read, ‘Hey Mom, Dad has a question to ask you.’ After being engaged for almost two years, the couple decided to walk down the aisle on January 14, 2012. Their wedding took place at ‘The Country Club of Virginia’ in Richmond. Unfortunately, their marriage lasted for only a couple of years as Russell Wilson filed for a divorce in April 2014. In a public statement released by the NFL star, he chose not to talk about the reason behind his decision and only asked his fans to respect his privacy.

The separation of Ashton Meem and Russell Wilson came across as a surprise to their fans as the couple had been together for more than eight years. The fact that they chose not to reveal the real reason for their divorce gave way to many speculations.

Among them was Ashton Meem’s extramarital affair with another NFL player, Golden Tate. It was widely speculated that Ashton’s infidelity had caused serious trouble in her marriage life, which culminated in a divorce. However, Golden Tate denied the allegation and even released a statement saying that he had nothing to do with Russell Wilson’s divorce.

Ashton Meem maintains a low profile and does her best to stay out of the limelight. She is currently focused on her career as an Advertising Operations Assistant. She has a private Instagram account, which has more than 20,000 followers. Interestingly, she has not changed her second name from ‘Wilson’ to ‘Meem’ on her Instagram account. What is more interesting is the fact that she is friends with Golden Tate’s wife Elise Pollard.
