Barry Van Dyke is an American actor, director, writer, and presenter. He is best known to the audiences as Detective Steve Sloan in the TV series ‘Diagnosis: Murder’ and as Stuart Stafford in ‘The Harvey Korman Show’. He is also known for appearing in ‘The New Dick Van Dyke Show’, ‘Galactica 1980’, ‘Gun Shy’ and ‘Airwolf’. The actor has guest-starred in several TV shows including ‘Gemini Man’, ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Mork& Mindy’, ‘The MacKenzies of Paradise Cove’ and ‘The Powers of Matthew Star’. Dyke,who is known for his brilliant acting skills, has also worked in numerous television movies such as ‘Diagnosis: Murder: A Town Without Pity’, ‘Murder 101’, ‘The Canterville Ghost’ and ‘The House on Sycamore Street’, to name a few. Coming to his personal life, Dyke is a happily married man and has four children including film and television actor Shane Van Dyke. The American actor was very close to his father Dick Van Dyke and considers him his favorite acting mentor.
