BbygShai created her TikTok profile in July 2019 and predominantly posted POV type videos, which quickly earned her popularity on the platform. She also often posted dance videos, lip-syncs, comedic dubs and other types of content on TikTok. Since the early days, she has been very consistent on the platform and has posted videos almost every day, and as such, has not shied away from occasionally uploading her draft attempts at popular trends, and not just the final edited version.

While she mostly made solo videos, she has collaborated with fellow TikTok stars like Omar Luis Williams Colon, Devron Harris, Damaury Mikula, Jayde Chanda and Braceface Nunu on several occasions. She also used the platform to promote fashion brands, particularly Fashion Nova.

On Instagram, her earliest post is from April 10, 2020 when she shared a picture of herself wearing clothing from the brand, and continued to promote it through her pictures in the following months. In later that year, she started to repost her popular TikTok videos on her Instagram profile as “reels”. She has continued that trend to this day, even though she occasionally posts fashion pictures promoting clothes by brands such as Fashion Nova, PSD Underwear, SheSoPrada, and HALARA. She also often shares selfies and fashionable pictures of herself from parties, and more recently, from the beach. She has had her YouTube channel since 2013, but she started uploading on it with a Q&A video on February 25, 2019. While she makes all kinds of videos including hair and makeup tutorials, try-on hauls, vlogs, and pranks, she mostly re-uploads her TikTok video on YouTube as well.

BbygShai was born on April 30, 1998 in The Bronx, New York, United States, where she spent her childhood years. She later moved to Hazleton, a small city in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, where she pursued her college education. She mentioned that her graduating class had only about 50 students. She is of multi-ethnic origin. In one of her Instagram videos from April 21, 2022, captioned “rican & black”, she used a sound clip to state it was obvious that she was Latina. However, some of her fans were still confused as Puerto Ricans did not necessarily mean of Latin American descent. Interestingly, she raises awareness for both the #BlackLivesMatter and the #StopAsianHate movements through her linktr.ee referrals. According to one of her Instagram posts, she can speak English, Spanish and French. She has been in a relationship with fellow social media star Omar Luis Williams Colon, also known as Fleezymar, and they often make videos together.

On December 3, 2021, BbygShai uploaded a vlog titled I GOT A BBL WORST PAIN I EVER FELT on her YouTube channel in which she documented going through a BBL (Brazilian butt lift) plastic surgery previously. The video, mostly filmed by Omar Colon, who picked her up from the clinic, showed her shrieking in pain and lamenting having done the procedure since returning home. Despite the pain, she had to take massages every day for a couple weeks to avoid blood clots

On December 5, 2021, she made a Q&A video in which she provided guidance to her fans by answering questions about her procedure. She talked about things like the cost and time needed for the surgery, her doctor, messages, time needed to heal, and more in video. She also answered questions about why she needed the surgery in the first place. Admitting that she could have gotten a similar result from working out, she defended taking the “easy” way out by stating that’s how she wanted it, and urged her viewers not to dictate what a woman does with her own body and her own money. However, in the very beginning of the video, she mentioned that she did research for about four years before going through the procedure and advised her viewers to research for at least six months before doing the same.
