Billie Lou Yeager Biography

Billie Lou Yeager met Adam West in the 1940s. Adam started dating Billie Lou Yeager when he was studying at ‘Whitman College.’ During his senior year in college, Adam West decided to marry Billie Lou Yeager. The couple tied the knot on August 27, 1950. The wedding took place at ‘St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’ in Walla Walla County, Washington. Billie and Adam West enjoyed each other’s company during the first few years of their marriage. They travelled across Europe, visiting places like Switzerland, Germany, and Italy’s Isle of Capri. After spending all his money on traveling, Adam sought the help of his friend Carl Hebenstreit, who was one of the cast members of the kids television show, ‘The Kini Popo Show.’ Adam eventually became part of the show, which marked his television debut.

Billie Lou Yeager then played an important role in helping her husband pursue a career in acting. She was his biggest pillar of support during his days as a struggling actor. Billie and Adam West stayed together for six years, before going their separate ways in 1956. Their divorce was finalized in the same year; Adam’s infidelity was cited as one of the reasons for their separation. A year later, Adam West married a professional dancer named Ngatokorua Frisbie Dawson in Hawaii. In 1962, he divorced Ngatokorua Frisbie and went on to marry Marcelle Lear in November 1970.

Billie Lou Yeager did not have any children from her six-year marriage with Adam West. She stopped hogging the limelight as soon as her marriage with Adam West ended in divorce.
