Blac Youngsta is an American rapper best known for his single ‘Booty.’ Originally known as the organizer of the McMillan Street block parties, he was quite a popular figure in his hometown. He became a nationwide name with the release of his hit single "Heavy" in 2015. Till date, he has released six mix tapes, one studio album, and several singles. As of now, the rapper’s most successful singles are "Hip Hopper," that features Lil Yachty, and "Booty". Youngsta, whose childhood was spent in utter poverty, had to work in a store to feed his family. His co-workers would offer him their leftovers and this is how he and his brother were able to eat. At the age of thirteen, Youngsta began selling crack cocaine. In an interview with VLad TV, he disclosed that selling the drug to his own aunt was the biggest mistake of his life. In 2015, the American artiste was shot three times. He claims that he doesn’t have any idea why he was targeted but says he’s blessed to be alive. Despite all the struggles and controversies, Youngsta has today evolved into a successful rapper. He has millions of fans worldwide who love him wholeheartedly and consider him to be their inspiration.

Blac Youngsta started hosting block parties in 2011 in order to honor a neighbor named King Craddy who was murdered a year before. In 2012, he released his mix tapes ‘Fast Bricks’ and ‘Fast Bricks 2’ respectively. The following year, he came out with ‘Fast Bricks 3’ that featured a song titled “Heavy”. This song became a hit and Youngsta was ultimately signed to the Collective Music Group label in September 2015. In the year 2016, the rapper went on to release his mix tapes ‘Young & Reckless’ and ‘Fuck Everybody’.

He was signed to Epic Records in 2017. That year, he released the mix tapes 'Illuminati', 'I'm Innocent', 'Can't Fake the Real' and 'Heavy Camp' as well as the single "Hip Hopper" from his upcoming debut album 2.23. On February 23, 2018, the album was released and it featured guest appearances from Travis Scott, Gotti, Lil Yachty, Chris Brown, LunchMoney Lewis and French Montana. The album’s track "Booty" had a remix featuring Jeezy, Chris Brown, and Trey Songz.

Controversies & Scandals

In 2016, Blac Youngsta was mistaken for a fraudster just after he withdrew a huge sum from the bank and was arrested by the police. However, later the police admitted that it was a case of mistaken identity and that Youngsta was innocent. In February 2017, he was arrested for shooting his fellow rapper and rival, Young Dolph. Fortunately during the shooting incident, nothing happed to Dolph as he was inside his bulletproof SUV.

Sammie Benson aka Blac Youngsta was born on April 8, 1990, in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He was raised with his younger brother in a small house by his grandma. He grew up in poverty and had to sleep hungry numerous times. Unable to bear his hunger anymore, he began dealing in drugs to earn some money. He also endured considerable street violence during his youth and has been shot at many times. Information regarding Youngsta’s parents and education is not known.

The rapper was once rumored to be gay. However, he denied the rumor.
