Brennan Clost is a Canadian actor and dancer, highly acclaimed for his performance in the hit television series ‘The Next Step.’ He is also known for his portrayal of ‘Clark’ in the web series ‘Spiral.’ Brennan owns a collaborative YouTube channel with his childhood friend, Brittany Wynn. Together they have produced and appeared in many web series. The most prominent among them is ‘Graped.’ He also owns a self-titled Youtube channel where he has over 93k subscribers. Brennan has been associated with many theater projects as well. Trained in various dance styles, he is a silver medalist at ‘World Showdance Championships.’ He has won a couple of talent search competitions and also performed at a few prestigious events too. Brennan was one of the presenters at the 3rd International Emmy Kids Awards.

Career

Brennan commenced his career at the young age of 16. With a deep passion for dancing, Brennan began contesting in several dance competitions. At one such competition, a talent agent spotted him and later approached Brennan and signed him to his roster. The agent forwarded his name for a trial audition for an upcoming television series. Brennan gave the audition and nailed it. He landed a role in the 'Temple Street Productions' series, ‘The Next Step.’ Aired in 2013, Brennan played the lead character ‘Daniel’ who was a contemporary dancer. He appeared in the first five seasons of the series. This ‘Family Channel’ hit series gave Brennan a chance to combine both his passions - dance and acting.

In 2013, he also appeared in the short film ‘The Swing of Things’ where he played the role of ‘The Charmer.’ The following year, he starred in the musical family film ‘An American Girl: Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight’ directed by Vince Marcello. The film has a 5.6 out of 10 rating on IMDb. He was next seen in films and shows like ‘Graped,’ ‘Country Crush,’ and ‘Arthur and Annie.’ In 2017, he was seen in the web series, ‘Spiral,’ where he played the character of a strategist named 'Clark.' In 2019, he appeared in the Episode: "One More Minute" of the anthology horror television series ‘Creeped Out.’ He next appeared in the 2020 comedy series ‘Australianaire$.’ That same year, he also joined the main cast of the drama series ‘Tiny Pretty Things’ as ‘Shane McRae.’ The series was canceled after one season. He next played the role of ‘Officer PJ Armstrong’ in the crime comedy-drama series, ‘Pretty Hard Cases.’

Brennan has contested in a couple of talent hunt competitions. He has participated in Canada's Got Talent, Degrassi: The Next Generation, and has won the title of ‘Mr. Onstage New York’ in 2006. In 2008, he was announced as the ‘Mr. Showbiz.’ The same year he bagged a silver medal at the ‘World Showdance Championships’ held in Riesa, Germany.

Apart from competitions, Brennan has been part of many festivals. He was cast in the production of ‘King of the Camp’ at the 'Toronto Children's Festival.' He later appeared in ‘Fall for Dance’ on the 'New York City Center Stage.'

YouTube Story

Brennan owns a collaborative 'YouTube' channel with his childhood friend, Brittany Wynn. They titled the channel ‘Brit and Bren.’ As they both wished to venture into filmmaking, they created this channel. The main idea of the channel is to make autobiographies and survival-based films. Brennan does most of the video editing while Brittany is the web designer.

Some of their collaborative projects are Graped, Wildcard Wednesday, and Survival Sunday. They usually release their work biweekly. Their works exemplify an incredible combination of art and skill. Personal Life

Brennan was born on October 20, 1994, in Burlington, Canada. His mother was a teacher. He has a brother named ‘Trevor.’ Brennan has trained in various dance forms like jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, acro, contemporary, and many more. Brennan has always been passionate about dancing. To explore the art further, he attended several performing arts institutions across 'Southern Ontario.' He is one of the notable alumni of the 'National Ballet School of Canada' and 'Springboard Danse Montreal.'

To accomplish his dreams of becoming a globally acclaimed performing artist, Brennan further received a degree from the ‘Joanne Chapman’s School of Dance’ in Brampton. He also holds a degree in 'Bachelor of Fine Arts' from the prestigious ‘Juilliard School' in New York City. Simultaneously, he joined a dance group ‘Fresh’ as a teacher and choreographer. He has been a part of ‘The Barrow Group Theatre Company.’ To polish his acting skills further, Brennan attended the ‘LB Acting Studio’ in Toronto.

It is interesting to note that dancing was not Brennan’s first career choice. He is extremely good at science and before he discovered his latent talent for dancing, he wanted to become a ‘marine biologist.’ He was serious about his choice and hence attended various universities to get into high-level science programs.

Brennan and Brit first met when they were 7 years old. His mother was Brit’s 2nd-grade teacher. They were together for 4 years at a competitive dance studio. They went to different high schools but still were in touch. Years later, they reconnected and became business partners.

Brennan is a great swimmer. His future goals include becoming a writer and star in his own television series. He further wants to nurture his craft and evolve as a versatile dancer.

Brennan owns a kitty named ‘Pippa.’ A music lover, he loves to listen to the compositions of ‘Fun’ and 'Carly Rae Jepsen.' His favorite food is a grilled cheese sandwich.

He indulges himself in creative activities in his free time. Brennan is an avid reader and enjoys hanging out with his brother.
