Callie Marie Rivers is an American retired volleyball player. Born to the famous NBA player and coach Doc Rivers, Callie had a natural instinct toward sports as a young child. Her siblings, too, are established basketball players. Rivers began her official sporting journey when she was a student at Winter Park High School in Florida. She played for the school’s volleyball team and set many records. She also guided the team to several state titles. Later, she was awarded the Florida Gatorade High School Player of the Year before she graduated. After high school, Rivers joined the University of Florida’s volleyball team and continued in the same dominating spirit. She set many records as a freshman and was eventually named to the AVCA All-America First Team when she was a senior. She also had a brief stint with Leonas de Ponce, the professional club, for a year. However, Rivers decided to take up retirement early. Since her retirement from competitive sports, Callie is seen at many social events and is often featured by many media outlets. She is married to NBA player, Seth Curry, and has a daughter with him.

Callie Rivers was born into a sport-loving family. Her father, Doc Rivers, is the former NBA player and current basketball coach for many reputed teams. Callie, naturally, gravitated towards sports at a young age. While studying at Winter Park High School in Florida, she started playing volleyball for her high-school team. Not only did she excel at it, but she also delivered conclusive victories for her school. It was under her that the school won 6A State titles in as little as three seasons.
Apart from these achievements, Callie also set career records at a school level. She had to her name 1394 kills, 2356 attempts, and 184.5 blocks. She was also ranked second in the list for digs and aces and was ranked third in hitting percentage of all times. She ended her school year with a high as she was named the Florida Gatorade High School Player of the Year. While at school, Callie actively represented her city and state at different levels. She played for the USA Junior National A2 Team during the USA Junior Olympic Volleyball tournament. In 2006, she was also named the most valuable player in USA High Performance Championships. These accolades helped her flag off a sports career while in college.
She enrolled at the University of Florida in 2007 and continued playing volleyball. In the same year, she recorded the fourth-highest kills per game average (2.71) and the fifth-highest points per game average (3.29) in the university history by a freshman.
In 2008, she played a decisive role in the team’s victorious SEC title. For her contributions during the season, she was named to the AVCA All-America honorable mentions. In her third year, she succeeded in joining the AVCA All-America Third Team. In her final year at University, when she was a senior, she was named to the AVCA All-America First Team, an honor that she prided upon. After graduating, she signed a contract with Leonas de Ponce, her first professional club, during the Liga de Voleibol Superior Femenino. However, she only played for one year before deciding to retire.
After retiring from her sports career, Callie continues to be eagerly noticed by the media. She also turned a model when she collaborated on a photoshoot for Kiwi Plum, a new swimsuit brand that was recently launched. Founded by Mariah Woodson, the swimsuit collection involved NBA personalities and their offspring as models. She is also highly followed across her social media profiles as many sports fans are eager to know more about her extended family and personal life.

Controversies & Scandals
When Callie was dating the American football linebacker Brandon Spikes, she was erroneously involved in a sex scandal which involved Spikes. Many media outlets after viewing the video assumed the woman on the tape to be Spikes’s girlfriend Rivers; however, Spikes later issued a statement stating that the tape dates to his college years and the woman in question wasn’t Callie.
