Calum Scott is a British singer and songwriter who first came to fame on season 9 of the reality TV competition ‘Britain's Got Talent’. Born and raised in the city of Hull in England, Scott was initially a drummer before being persuaded to sing by his sister Jade, herself a brilliant vocalist. In 2013, after winning a local competition, Scott joined a local band called Maroon 4 and has since then been releasing songs and covers. One of his most successful works till date is Robyn's "Dancing on My Own" that he recorded in his own voice. This song reached #2 on the UK Singles Chart and then went on to become the best selling track of the summer in the UK. A Brit Award nominee, the singer has released one album as of now: his debut studio album titled ‘Only Human’. Recently, he collaborated with singer Leona Lewis on the track "You Are the Reason".

Career
On 15 August 2013, Calum Scott won a local talent competition show Mail's Star Search. After winning the competition, he joined a Maroon 5 tribute band called the Maroon 4. With the band, he went on to tour around the United Kingdom. In the year 2014, Scott formed an electronic duo with John McIntyre. They released their debut single titled "Girl (You're Beautiful)" in June that year.
Then in 2015, Scott participated in season 9 of ‘Britain's Got Talent’ but he did not win the competition. A year later, he released his cover of "Dancing on My Own". In September that year, the British singer, along with recording artist Ivete Sangalo, released the promotional single titled "Transformar" as the official theme song of the 2016 Summer Paralympics Games.

In 2017, Scott toured the US and also went on to release his single "You Are the Reason". The same year, he started working on his debut album titled ‘Only Human’ which was released in March 2018. A new version of his song "You Are the Reason" was also released the same year in collaboration with Leona Lewis.

Scott has also appeared in a number of music videos till date including Astor Production's "Yours", Shoot J Moore's "When We Were Young" and Radamés Venâncio's "Transformar (Change)", to name a few. He has also toured several times in his career. Recently, the singer cum songwriter went on the ‘Only Human Tour’ to promote his debut album ‘Only Human.’
