Camilla Poindexter was born on August 30, 1986, in Harbor City, California. Her mother was a single parent. Poindexter spent her childhood in Long Beach, California.
During her childhood, Poindexter was actively involved in several extra-curricular activities, such as tennis, dance, taekwondo, and drill team. In 2004, she graduated from the ‘Woodrow Wilson Classical High School.’ While in school, Poindexter was part of a dance group called ‘Jus Clowning.’ At the age of 14, she received a modelling contract for 3 years. She aspired to become a hostess, and spokesmodel.

Career
In 2008, Camilla Poindexter was selected for the reality show, ‘America’s Next Top Model.’ It was a competition where the contestants competed for the title of ‘Next Top Model.’ Poindexter was one of the top 20 finalists, but got eliminated at later stage of the show. This show brought her fame. She did modelling in runway shows, for Ed Hardy, and Christian Audigier.
In 2008, Poindexter was cast in the reality TV show, ‘Momma’s Boys,’ which was aired on the ‘NBC’ network. It was a show where a group of mothers helped their bachelor sons, to choose the right partner. Poindexter was one of the top contestants of the show. She remained a part of the show till the final episode, where she was eliminated. Later, she made small appearances in TV shows, such as ‘The Game,’ and ‘Real Housewives of Orange County.’
In 2012, Poindexter was selected to be a part of the eighth season of the ‘Bad Girls Club,’ known as ‘Bad Girls Club: Las Vegas,’ which was aired on the ‘Oxygen’ channel. She was chosen as a replacement, and appeared only in three episodes of the show. In these episodes, Poindexter made her presence known, by voicing out her disagreements with fellow contestants.
In 2012, Camilla Poindexter was selected as one of the contestants of the Season 4 of the reality TV show, ‘Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too,’ which was aired on the ‘Oxygen’ channel. It was a dating game show, a spin-off of the ‘Bad Girls Club.’ The show was aired from November 2012, to January 2013. Poindexter was the runner-up, losing to the winner, Amy Cieslowski.
During 2013-2014 period, Poindexter hosted several specials for the ‘Bad Girls Club.’ She hosted ‘Making It To The Mansion’ special with Natalie Nunn. These specials were shot for the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth seasons of the ‘Bad Girls Club,’ titled as ‘Bad Girls Club: Atlanta,’ ‘Bad Girls Club: Miami,’ and ‘Bad Girls Club: Chicago,’ respectively. In 2013, Poindexter starred in a commercial for the movie, ‘Smurfs 2,’ where appeared with Tanisha Thomas, who was another ‘Bad Girls Club’ participant.
In 2014, Poindexter was selected to become one of the contestants for the Season 2 of ‘Bad Girls All-Star Battle.’ The show had 16 contestants, all of whom were former ‘Bad Girl’ contestants. Poindexter was eliminated in the sixth episode of the show. In the same year, Poindexter appeared in an episode of the TV game show, ‘Let’s Make A Deal.’
In 2014, Camilla Poindexter was chosen as one of the cast members of ‘Bad Girls Club: Redemption.’ This was the thirteenth season of the ‘Bad Girls Club.’ She appeared in all episodes of the series. In 2016, Poindexter appeared as a special guest on the fifteenth season of the ‘Bad Girls Club,’ called ‘Bad Girls Club: Twisted Sisters.’
She has made small appearances in movies, such as ‘Bedtime Stories,’ and ‘Friends With Benefits.’
Personal Life
Camilla Poindexter is not married. She has a daughter, Dylan Noelle Poindexter, who was born in March, 2016. In October, 2016, Poindexter revealed that Donald Penn was the biological father of her daughter. Penn is a professional football player, who plays for the team, ‘Oakland Raiders.’ He is married to Dominique Penn. Poindexter is a single mother, and handles her parental responsibilities independently.
