Carson Roney began posting pictures on her Instagram profile in June 2018. While she mostly posted pictures of herself in fashionable clothing, she also often uploaded pictures related to basketball. However, she was not a huge star on the platform when she joined TikTok in 2020 to pass time during the covid lockdown.

The first video that earned her fame on the platform by crossing one million views was one in which she demonstrated different ways to wear shorts. Interestingly, she met her future boyfriend, Adrien Nuñez¸ on Instagram first, but they reconnected on TikTok also in 2020. Their collaboration proved a winning formula as the couple was ranked 9th in an August 2021 article by ESPN on “college basketball's most marketable players”. At the time, they had a combined 4.7 million TikTok following, with Carson having a sizable 500k lead. They banked on their popularity by creating a joint YouTube channel called Carson and Adrien, which currently has 128K subscribers. Individually, Carson now has an impressive 3.44 million TikTok fans and 402k Instagram followers.

Basketball runs deep in Carson Roney’s family as her grandfather played the sport at the University of Rio Grande and has been her biggest inspiration for pursuing the same. However, she first picked up the sport at 10 following in the footsteps of her older brother Camden, who is 10 years older than her and was a big basketball star at Wheelersburg. She quickly fell in love with the sport but began playing seriously in the sixth grade. Interestingly, she would eventually switch to volleyball before switching back to basketball later, and has mentioned that “the conditioning was the worst part” about the transition. She played basketball under head coach Darren King at Eastern Local High School in Beaver, Ohio and earned letters four times combining both basketball and volleyball. She was also a four-time first team All-SOC selection and a three-time first team All-District selection in both basketball and volleyball. Furthermore, during her senior year in school, she was a third team All-Ohio selection in volleyball. While in school, she also played basketball for the club Southern Ohio HOOPSTERS. After completing her school graduation in 2016, she enrolled into Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio, where she played basketball for the Bears during her freshman year, and junior and senior years.

Carson Roney was born on January 26, 1998 in Waverly, Ohio, United States, to David Roney and Ginger Rase. She was raised alongside a sister named Cassidy and a brother named Camden. She attended Eastern Pike High School before going to Shawnee State University.

Carson Roney is currently in a relationship with Adrien Nuñez, who is social media star and a basketball player. He played as a guard for the Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team. Adrien first came across an Instagram story of Carson and her dog back in 2018 and slyly slid into her DM with a comment about the post, even though he admits that he could not care less about her dog. While she responded to him, he played hard to get at the time but approached her again two years later in 2020 with the proposal of collaborating on a TikTok video. The two first met in Michigan, where he attended university. Adrien’s first impression of her was that she would be bougie and rude, but the two connected quickly and began working out together. They believe that they share a similar temperament: neither is lazy or busy on the phone all day, which allows them to have a lot of fun together, which further strengthens their bond. They are also very open about each other’s opinions, which they believe negates the possibility of discontent building up in their relationship. They created their joint YouTube channel in June 2020, following which she helped him with his new apartment in August that year before finally moving in with him in April 2021.
