Carter Reum Biography

Carter Reum co-created the premium spirits company VEEV, at the age of twenty-five, after he was bored with his drinking experience. VEEV Spirits became both the first liquor made with acai as well as to be created in a substantial facility. In 2016, the company was eventually acquired by the beverage company Luxco.

Reum and his brother next built up an investment firm named M13. It was soon reported that they were syndicating $ 100 million in investments into several startups. The name of the firm came from ‘Messier 13’, the brightest cluster of stars in the galaxy, known because the collection of stars shines brighter than the sum of all the individual stars.

In 2018, Carter Reum along with his brother, Courtney, co-authored the book ‘Shortcut Your Startup: Ten Ways to Speed Up Entrepreneurial Success’. They describe their professional accomplishments in the book, and guide entrepreneurs on achieving success. They also talk about their lessons learnt throughout the years, from investing in companies such as Lyft, SpaceX, Pinterest, and Warby Parker.

The book was dedicated to W Robert Reum, father of Carter and Courtney Reum, who passed away while they were still writing the book. The book has been praised by Arianna Huffington, famous author and columnist, and co-founder of the Huffington Post. Popular American author and life coach Tony Robbins has also praised the book, stating the book reveals several of the tactics that are used by several startups to scale, disrupt as well as succeed.

Carter Milliken Reum was born on February 5, 1981, in Wayne, Illinois. His father, W Robert Reum, was a prominent business executive, also known for his philanthropic activities.

The couple got engaged on February 13, 2021. Carter got married to Hilton on November 11, 2021, in Los Angeles. In January 2023, the couple welcomed their first child, a boy, via surrogacy.
