Catherine Disher is a British-born Canadian actress and comedian. She is best known for her roles in the TV shows ‘Forever Knight,’ ‘Snakes and Ladders,’ and ‘The Good Witch’ series. Her role in ‘Snakes and Ladders’ has earned her two Gemini Awards. Born in England and raised in Montreal, Disher studied at Phillips Exeter Academy and later attended McGill University in Montreal. She then went on to graduate from the National Theatre School of Canada, one of the most prominent theatre schools in North America. Her first film role was of Catherine Collins in the sci-fi flick ‘The Vindicator,’ which was directed by Jean-Claude Lord. Disher is also an accomplished voice actress who has appeared in countless video games, cartoons, and radio dramas, such as ‘Sailor Moon,’ ‘Rolie Polie Olie,’ and ‘X-Men,’ to name a few. Behind the screen, she is a mother of a son. Her former husband is ‘X-Men’ co-star Cedric Smith.

Acting Career
Catherine Disher started her acting career in 1986 when she was cast in the role of Catherine Collins in the sci-fi movie ‘The Vindicator’. That year, she also appeared in the television film ‘Murder Sees the Light’. She then had a minor role in the romantic flick ‘A New Life’ which was released in the late 1980s. A few years later, the actress played Dulcie in the thriller film ‘Grand Larceny’ that earned her the first Gemini Award nomination of her career. During the 1990s, she had roles in the TV films ‘Woman on the Run: The Lawrencia Bembenek Story’ and ‘Earthquake in New York’.
During the 2000s, Disher did several television movies. Her most prominent role during this time was of Martha Tinsdale in ‘The Good Witch’. The film, starring Catherine Bell and Chris Potter, spawned ten sequels. In 2015, the actress featured as Kate in ‘Regression,’ a psychological thriller mystery investigating the case of a man who admits to sexually abusing his teenage daughter but has no recollection of the abuse.
On television, Catherine Disher has appeared as Dr. Natalie Lambert in ‘Forever Knight’ and as Minister Audrey Flankman in ‘Snakes and Ladders.’ In 2008, she featured in the Canadian drama 'The Border' that follows agents of a fictitious agency created by the government to deal with trans-border matters like smuggling and terrorism.
