Chloe Ting Bio

Chloe Ting studied business statistics at Monash University in Australia and got an M.Phil degree. She then worked as a corporate statistician.

As a child, Chloe Ting was always interested in makeup and travel. Growing up she started making video tutorials and uploading them on YouTube. In 2011 she started her eponymous channel on YouTube. Initially, she posted makeup, fashion tips and travel videos. From 2017 her content focused solely on fitness.

Chloe Ting slickly edited, enticingly titled workout training videos soon started garnering popularity. She started #ChloeTingChallenge for people to share their fitness stories. Taking the challenge became an internet rage and people all over the world started sharing their body transformation and Chloe Ting workout videos on TikTok.

The fact is that her workouts are packaged into manageable segments of 10 to 20 minutes and can be done in one’s bedroom without any equipment which helped them become popular during the Covid-19 quarantine period.

Chloe Ting is the brand ambassador of the fitness brand Gym Shark and has also been nominated for the Shorty Award for Health and Fitness.

As expected with such influencers not everyone is a fan. In June 2020 a Singapore based body-builder, Dino Kang, shredded Ting’s videos in his Instagram posts. He also accused her of spreading fitness myths in her videos. Calling her “a pretty face in yoga pants” who did not have the relevant expertise to talk about fitness.

Chloe Ting was born on 9 April 1986, in Brunei. She has two brothers. After completing her high school, Chloe Ting moved to Australia where she currently lives.
