Choi Min-soo made his acting debut on the big screen in the year 1985 in the movie ‘Nun’. He then appeared in the movie ‘North Korean Partisan in South Korea’ in 1990. A year later, he did the TV series ‘What is Love’. This was followed by another series ‘Sandglass’ in 1995. After this, the actor appeared in the drama series ‘White Nights 3.98’. In 2001, he appeared in numerous films, the popular ones being ‘The Marriage Life’, ‘Life of Hollywood Kid’, ‘Terrorist’, ‘Rehearsal’, ‘Blackjack’, ‘Film-making’ and ‘Libera Me’.

After this, Choi Min-soo got featured in the flick ‘Yesterday’. Then he acted in the 2003 movie ‘Sword in the Moon’. In the year 2005, he did the films ‘The Myth’ and ‘Holiday’. The following year, the South Korean star performed in the movie ‘My Wife Is a Gangster 3’. Following this, he was cast in the drama ‘The Legend’ in 2007. Two years later, he played Kang Man-ho in the drama ‘Father's House’. Choi Min-soo then did the series ‘Road No. 1’ and ‘Warrior’.

Soon after this, he got the opportunity to act in the shows ‘Happy Ending’, ‘Faith’ and ‘Do You Know Taekwondo’. In 2008, Choi Min-soo came into the limelight when an elderly man saw the actor beating another man during a street-side argument. However, the actor was let go by the police when the victim declined to file any case. But the public acted bitterly towards the actor who later apologized and swore to live in the mountains for a year in exile, away from his wife and kids.

Personal Life

Choi Min-soo was born on March 27, 1962, in Seoul, South Korea, to actress Kang Hyo-shil and actor Choi Moo-ryong. He has three sisters, two half-sisters and a half-brother from his father’s other marriages. Choi Min-soo studied at Lila Elementary School and then attended Seoul Arts College. He met June Elizabeth Kang in 1993 during a beauty pageant and proposed to her just after a 3-hour meeting! The couple got married the following year. As of now, they have two kids, Christian and Benjamin.
