Chris Motionless Biography

Chris was drawn towards music since his school days. On reaching high school, his interest for music doubled and with perseverance he formed a metal band in 2005. Together with his band, he used to play at nightclubs and was then discovered by an agent and producer, Zach Neil, who instantaneously signed the group to his own record label ‘Masquerade Recordings’.

By 2007, the band’s first EP titled ‘The Whorror’ was launched. They toured all around America that year and wrote extensive songs to create their own album, which finally released as an EP in 2009 and was titled ‘When Love Met Destruction’ under the banner of ‘Tragic Hero’ recordings. The EP’s first single ‘Ghost In the Mirror’ became quite a hit and encouraged the band record its first studio album ‘Creatures’ in 2010. The album debuted at number six on the ‘Billboard Heatseeker Music Chart’. The first single of the album ‘Abigail’ met with huge success followed by the second and third singles titled ‘Creatures’ and ‘Immaculate Misconception’ respectively.

In late 2012 ‘Motionless in White’ released their second studio album ‘Infamous’. The album was ranked number nine on the ‘Independent Albums’ music chart and at number five on the ‘US Top Hard Rock Albums’. It wasn’t long before the band released their third album called ‘Reincarnate’. By now the band had accumulated plenty of publicity and went on several tours before launching the first self titled single of the album followed by ‘Puppets 3’ and ‘Break the Cycle’. The album won him several awards and booked the ninth spot on ‘US Billboard 200’ and placed first on the ‘US Rock Albums Chart’. He began working on the band’s fourth studio album ‘Graveyard Shift’ in 2016 under ‘Roadrunner Records’, and the album released on 5th May 2017. The first two singles of the album ‘570’ and ‘Eternally Yours’ topped many international music charts.

Chris is the oldest member of his band and has stuck by his fellow members through thick and thin. He is hardworking and perseverant. It took him time to establish his music career but he didn’t stop believing in himself until he was finally discovered and offered a recording deal. He is sensitive when it comes to his family and humbly attributes all his success to the support he has received from his fans.

For Chris, music is life. He used to play the rhythm guitar for his band before TJ Bell took on the role and was later replaced by Ricky Olson. He loves travelling around the world and meeting his fans. In fact, he often replies to his fans via mails and even comments on fan posts on his ‘Twitter’ account. He is known to have a strong gothic dressing sense, and sports long straight hair and tattoos on his arms. He loves spending his vacations with his mother and recently posted a vacation picture with her on ‘Instagram’.

Chris was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA, on 17th October 1986. He had a rough childhood as his parents divorced when he was still a child. He grew up with music being his only solace and eventually formed his own band in high school. He struggled to make a name for himself in his initial career but eventually became the lead vocalist of his metal band.

He dated the gorgeous Sabrina Malfoy in 2013 but their relationship didn’t last long. The couple eventually broke up and he is presently single. However, rumors suggest that he is romantically involved with his make-up artist and the famous ‘Instagram’ star ‘Gaiapatra’. He is currently on tour promoting his fourth music album and intends to begin working on the band’s fifth studio album at the earliest.
