Christine Ann Lahti is an American actress and filmmaker. She has appeared in several movies till date including ‘Swing Shift’, ‘And Justice for All’, ‘Housekeeping’, ‘Running on Empty’, ‘Leaving Normal’, 'Yonkers Joe', 'The Steps' and 'Operator'. A six-time Emmy Award nominee and eight-time Golden Globe nominee, she has also done a number of TV movies, such as ‘No Place like Home’, 'The Fear Inside' and 'An American Daughter'. In addition, the actress is associated with numerous TV shows, the popular ones being ‘Chicago Hope’, ‘Jack & Bobby’, 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit', 'The Blacklist' and 'Hawaii Five-0'. As a director, Lahti has made the short film ‘Lieberman in Love’ for which she won an Academy Award. Lahti has performed on stage as well, in plays including ‘Present Laughter’, ‘The Heidi Chronicles’ and ‘God of Carnage’. The actress has also won a Golden Globe Award as well as a Primetime Emmy Award for her performance in ‘Chicago Hope.’

Christine Lahti first appeared on television in 1978, in ‘The Harvey Korman Show’. She then did the television movie ‘The Executioner's Song’. She appeared on the big screen in the 1984 film ‘Swing Shift’. After this, she acted in the TV flick ‘Love Lives On’. In 1987, the actress appeared in two episodes of ‘Amerika’. The following year, she was cast in the flick ‘Running on Empty’. Then in 1989, she had a role in the movie ‘Gross Anatomy’ as well as in the TV film ‘No Place like Home’.
Lahti was featured in the movies ‘Funny About Love’ and ‘The Doctor’ in 1990 and 1991 respectively. She then played Meredith Cole in the television movie ‘The Fear Inside’ in 1992. Three years later, she joined the cast of ‘Chicago Hope’ as Dr. Kathryn Austin. In 1995, she directed the short film ‘Lieberman in Love’. The American artiste then had a role in the TV flick ‘An American Daughter’. She then directed as well as acted in the movie ‘My First Mister’.
During 2004 and 2005, Lahti played Grace McCallister in the series ‘Jack & Bobby’. She then got featured in the films ‘Smart People’ and ‘Yonkers’.
