Christopher Brosnan is a British producer, director, and writer. Although famous for his work in the film industry, he also gained fame for being the son of actress Cassandra Harris and later being adopted by her third husband, actor Pierce Brosnan. Having famous parents meant that Chris had a relatively easy entry into the entertainment world. However, proving his worth was an entirely different story, but the inherent talent of the director shone through. He has since worked as an assistant director in Hollywood blockbusters like, ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’, ‘The World Is Not Enough’, ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’, and ‘Seraphim Falls’ to name a few. Besides movies, Chris Brosnan has also directed music videos for artists like The Freestylers, Jade, Placebo and others. His directing talents have also been seen on major commercials of prestigious brands like ‘Nokia’, ‘Calvin Klein’, and ‘Victoria’s Secret’ to name a few. Although more famous in the popular media as the adopted son of actor Pierce Brosnan, Christopher is a critically acclaimed and hugely successful director. His foray into the movie industry started easily, thanks largely to the massive popularity of all his celebrity parents, especially Pierce and Cassandra. However, his natural talent in directing can be traced back to his biological father, Dermot Harris, who was a successful director himself.
He worked as an assistant director in movies like ‘Batman Forever’ (1995) and ‘Golden Eye’ (1995). The later starring Pierce Brosnan was also one of his first movies where he worked with his father.
In 1997, Christopher Brosnan was again involved with the movie ‘Robinson Crusoe’ starring his father Pierce. The bond between father and son strengthened both personally and professionally as they started spending more and more time together. He was an assistant director in Pierce’s blockbusters like ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ (1997), ‘The World Is Not Enough’ (1999), ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ (1999), and in Pierce Brosnan’s final outing as James Bond, ‘Die Another Day’ (2002).
In the meantime, Chris was also getting noticed by production houses all over Hollywood due to his huge talent. In 1993, he worked in the comedy-drama ‘Indian Summer’. Chris was then recruited as an assistant director of critically acclaimed movies like ‘Down With Love’ (2003), ‘Superman Returns’ (2006), ‘Seraphim Falls’ (2006), and ‘Butterfly On A Wheel’ (2007). In 2008, he formed his own production house ‘Big Nut Production’. In recent times, his most notable works include ‘Thor’ (2011), ‘Survivor’ (2015), and ‘No Escape’ (2015).
Besides working for major production houses like ‘Disney Studios’, ‘MGM’, and ‘Paramount’, Christophers Brosnan has also directed music videos by artists like Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Aphex Twins, Proper Grounds, Cypress Hill, Mos Def and others. He is also equally popular for directing commercials for brands like ‘DKNY’, ‘BMW’, ‘L'Oreal’, ‘Samsung’ etc.

Controversies & Scandals
Having a tragic past relating to the death of his mother in 1991 and sister in 2013, to Ovarian Cancer has always had a deep impact on Christopher Brosnan’s life. Throughout his life, he has battled with drugs and alcohol addiction. In 1996, Chris was found driving under the influence of alcohol in America and fined £1,000. In 1997, he was again found guilty of the same offense and sentenced to three months in prison. In 2001, Christopher Brosnan went into a rehab clinic voluntarily. In 2002, things reached a near fatal end after he was taken to ‘St Mary's Hospital’ in Paddington, England, in a coma. He had spent the evening partying at the ‘China White’ club in London and later fell unconscious after going to the flat of one of the club’s owners. He was later revived and released the next day and no evidence of any illegal drugs was found.

Christopher Brosnan was born in London, England, on November 11, 1972, to actress Cassandra Harris and producer Dermot Harris. His father died on November 12, 1986, and his mother passed away from Ovarian Cancer on December 28, 1991. He was adopted along with his sister Charlotte, by his mother’s third husband Pierce Brosnan in 1986. Unfortunately, his sister tragically passed away from Ovarian Cancer as well on June 28, 2013. He has a half-brother Sean Brosnan, who is Cassandra and Pierce’s son. Chris also has two other brothers, Dylan, and Paris from Pierce’s second marriage to Keely Shaye Smith.
