Two years later, she started appearing in the series 'Safe Harbor' in one of the main roles. She later gained prominence for her role in 'That '80s Show', a comedy series revolving around the lives of a group of friends. Her fame continued to grow after her appearance in the TV series 'Grey's Anatomy'. The series earned huge popularity, winning the 'Golden Globe Award' for the Best Drama Television Series. It earned two Emmy nominations as well. She has also appeared in several films in her career, such as the TV movie 'The 19th Wife', where she played the lead role, and the thriller film 'Brake'. She has been playing a main role in the TV series 'Supergirl', based on the DC Comics superhero of the same name.
