Cole Bennett is the suave business executive behind the multi-media company Lyrical Lemonade. The organization focuses on publishing exclusive musical content and organizing live events among other music-related works. It is famous for its innovative and passionate approach towards music. Before Lyrical Lemonade became a company, it was just a blog run by Cole. He started chronicling his journey as a music aficionado in his blog and meticulously wrote about the gigs he attended in his hometown. He sometimes wrote five articles in a day! At the same time, he started making music videos with a camera given to him by his mother and was in some sense an amateur video director already. Soon, it was time for him to move to college, but Cole continued working on his blog nonetheless. Despite moving to DePaul University to study digital cinema, he was not happy. He realized his true passion lay in talking about music and decided to drop out in his sophomore year to focus completely on Lyrical Lemonade.

Cole Bennett’s decision to drop out of college worked in his favor as he had already established a name for himself in the music scene in Chicago. His big break happened when he worked with Soulja Boy’s video ‘Working It’. The animation for the video was done by Cole and this helped him gain fame. Soon enough, he was working with other popular names such as Dex, Smokepurpp, Lil Pump, Warhol, Wiz Khalifa, Comethazine, and Han Vader. He also worked on the short film ‘Lone Springs’ that was released in April 2017.

After working with such popular names, he gained more visibility and his humble blog grew into a small company and later into a major website that witnessed heavy traffic. Today, Lyrical Lemonade not only stands for fresh and new music, but also serves as a creative center for information about the music industry. The company works with the best of rap artists (both popular and upcoming) in the industry.

Cole Bennett recently gave a TED talk titled ‘Mindset is Everything’ at the University of Illinois and has been interviewed and featured in important publications, such as ‘Rolling Stone,’ ‘Forbes,’ and ‘Billboard.’
