Collin met Gabriella DeMartino on July 25, 2015, in New Jersey. It was a perfect romantic set up on a beach. However, it was not a love at first sight, as they both were in committed relationships back then. In one of his vlogs, Collin has mentioned that he was awestruck by her beauty and he also did not have an idea about her popularity. Gabriella was then dating fellow "YouTuber" Brandon Grupe. They broke up that very year, and shortly after, Collin and Gabriella began dating. Both broke up with their partners to be together.

They went to 'KFC' on their first official date. Collin and Gabriella celebrated their 2nd relationship anniversary in 2017. They recreated a few selected scenes from one of Collin's favorite movies 'Romeo and Juliet,' by Baz Luhrmann. The entire celebration was shot and later uploaded on Gabriella's 'YouTube' channel.
