Courtney Kemp Agboh is an American television writer and producer. She is best known for writing for the hit Starz series ‘Power’ and Fox’s ‘The Bernie Mac Show’. Her other writing credits include ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Eli Stone’, ‘Happy Town’, ‘Justice’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’. As a producer, Agboh is known for contributing to several episodes of ‘The Good Wife’, such as “Double Jeopardy”, “Running”, “Hybristophilia”, “Unplugged” and “Mock”. As an executive producer, Agboh has produced various episodes of the series ‘Power’ including “I Gotta Go”, “Who Are You”, “This Is Real”, “Whoever He Is” and “Not Exactly How We Planned”. Agboh has also served as a co-producer as well as supervising producer for ‘Happy Town’ and ‘The Good Wife’ respectively. On personal note, Courtney Kemp Agboh, who is also known as Courtney A. Kemp, is a divorcee and no longer uses her ex-husband’s surname ‘Agboh’.

At the age of 26, Courtney Kemp Agboh started her career as a staff writer for Fox’s ‘The Bernie Mac Show’. In 2006, she served as a writer for the series ‘Justice’. Two years later, she wrote for the show ‘Eli Stone’. Then in 2010, the American writer wrote episodes for the CBS drama series ‘The Good Wife’. She also served as producer for the series.
Agboh also wrote for the series ‘Happy Town’ the same year. Soon after this, she became the supervising producer for one episode of ‘The Good Wife’ in 2011. The following year, she worked as a co-executive producer of the drama ‘Hawaii Five-0’. Then in 2014, Agboh went on to become the writer, creator, and executive producer of the series ‘Power’.

Courtney Kemp Agboh, or Courtney A. Kemp, was born on May 4, 1977, in Westport, Connecticut, USA. At the age of eight, she started reading college textbooks and then went on to read plays by William Shakespeare. She studied at Staples High School and graduated from there in 1994. Later on Agboh attended Brown University and received her bachelor's degree from there. Then she obtained her Master's in English Literature from the Columbia University. Agboh lost her beloved father, Herbert Kemp Jr., in the year 2011 and dedicated the first episode of the series ‘Power’ to him.
Coming to the American writer’s love life, she married a man from Ghana and adopted his surname ‘Agboh’ after marriage. After a few years of marriage, Agboh parted ways with him.
